I have some exciting news about a show I am playing on February 24th, 2018 at the State Theatre.  For a lot of you that have been around the Tampa Bay music scene for some time, you will remember a few of the pioneers in in the power/heavy metal genre of local music.  Two of these bands will dawn the stage once again...  MESSIAXX and BLACKKOUT!

I was heavily influenced by both of these bands in my teenage years and went to see them at every "all ages" concert they had.  I have always kept in contact with the members of these bands and have followed them after their time from these bands.  A lot of folks know one of the guitarists in both of these bands from his time with Jon Oliva's Pain, The Genitorturers, and Bogus Pomp... the one and only Jerry Outlaw!

And now for the most exciting part of this upcoming event...

The members of MESSIAXX and BLACKKOUT have asked me to play bass for this show.  When I used to watch these bands growing up, I never dreamed of actually being in these bands, and when the call came, I was blown away that they wanted me to take up their low end at this show.

This event will be one for the history books.  If you have seen either of these bands in the past, you know you do not want to miss this.  If you have never experienced either, you will want to come out for this special night.  From Buddy Zappa's operatic vocals in Messiaxx, to Richard Elliot's bag pipes and flute playing in the power metal classic songs of Blackkout, to Jerry Outlaw and Lee "the Animal" Gibson's guitar and drum work in both of these bands, it is not to be missed!
